AMD 785G
At large if you need a general-purpose computer for home use we’d recommend 780G or 785G not because of the chipset but rather because of inexpensive yet powerful CPUs you may install. Today Phenom II X2 and Phenom II X3 ensure great efficiency for the money.
Surely Intel has its own cheap dual-core CPUs – Core 2 and Pentium, but G45 is too weak in graphic performance while the GeForce 9300/9400 motherboards are bloody expensive. We found the cheapest 780G motherboard at $45 less than the cheapest 9300 model. Such price difference is almost sufficient for a dedicated Radeon HD 4650 graphics card. AMD 785g drivers page.
In general 785G can be called a nice supplement to the set of the AMD chipsets and it is also attractive for home cinema.
